I’m Tracy Lane

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and trauma-informed practitioner with a real passion for mental health.

I’m dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, uncover their inner strength, and create meaningful change

My belief in therapy’s transformative power comes from my own journey with chronic anxiety—years of relentless worry, dread and self-doubt. The constant unease took a toll, both mentally and physically. But through counselling, I found healing, understanding, growth and relief.

Now, I live with greater peace, clarity, and ease—fully present and able to embrace each day. I’m committed to helping others find their own path to healing and fulfilment and supporting them every step of the way!

My Counselling Journey

I began my journey by volunteering with Samaritans, offering support through phone calls, emails, and messagesWitnessing the relief and empowerment this support brought, combined with my own therapy experience, inspired me to train as a therapist

While there are similarities between Samaritans and therapy, becoming a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and trauma-informed practitioner took six years of further training.

I've had the privilege of working with various charities and organizations, supporting people in crisis, including those experiencing suicidal thoughts. This has allowed me to connect therapeutically with a diverse range of clients.

I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety and depression; panic attacks; self-harm and suicidal feelings: anger; personality and mood disorders; relationship issues; low self-esteem; disordered eating and more.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."

My Approach

I currently work with EAPs, agencies and in private practice, supporting clients with mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, trauma recovery, self-exploration, and personal growth.

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can be yourself—free to explore whatever is on your mind, knowing you’ll be heard, understood, and accepted.

People are sometimes surprised that I don’t give advice or answers or tell them what to do—I’m not the expert on you. Instead, I provide the time, space, and support needed to navigate difficult thoughts, emotions, and life challenges.

A strong therapeutic relationship is key to effective therapy. Together, we’ll explore where you are now, uncover barriers to self-awareness and growth, and help you reconnect with your own capacity for healing. This process empowers you to make choices that align with your true self.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I’m trained in more than one type of therapy, allowing me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. I draw from Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), depending on what best suits you and your situation.

I warmly welcome individuals from all walks of life, including those who are neurodivergent, part of the LGBT+ community, or from any background seeking a supportive and understanding space.

I offer face-to-face sessions in Billericay, as well as online sessions for those who prefer remote sessions or live further afield.

My goal is to help you uncover your strengths and inner resources so you can live authentically and in alignment with your values.
